Accounts Payable Manager

Skybound is actively seeking a qualified and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our dynamic accounting team. As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will play a central role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our accounts payable function. Responsibilities will include managing vendor relationships, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, and implementing streamlined payment processes. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is integral, contributing to the overall success of our accounting department within the unique landscape of Skybound Entertainment. Reports: This position will report to the VP, Accounting

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the overall AP Process, applying a thorough understanding of the business and company process
  • Review all invoices for required documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Enter invoices, properly coding them with the appropriate information
  • Responsible for resolving any inaccuracies in billing
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries, reconciling all vendor statements, correcting any discrepancies
  • Manage the process of onboarding new vendors into financial system, including collection of W-9’s
  • Maintaining & enhancing AP payment process
  • Process expense reimbursements, ensuring spending is within Company policy
  • Manage corporate credit card usage
  • Create weekly payment file reports for upper management
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
  • Assist in month-end close bank and AP reconciliations
  • Reconcile vendor invoices to the GL
  • Maintain vendor records, keeping information current
  • Preparation & filing of 1099s
  • Assist in maintaining regular contact and building solid working relationships with various departments
  • Assist on projects and ad hoc assignments as needed
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of working experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting (debits, credits, financial principles, reconciliation)
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite preferred
  • Ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast paced and growth oriented environment
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
  • Ability to seek out, identify, and make process improvements
  • Solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing best practices
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with many people at various levels of the organization

Job Type: Regular, Full-Time

Salary Range: $70,000-$78,000

  • Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limitedto; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc.
  • The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees
  • Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role
