Business Applications Analyst-HRIS

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Business Applications Analyst develops, maintains, and optimizes all assigned HRIS software solutions. This role is responsible for testing, installation, and supporting computer applications, procedures, and other systems that support Wise Health System’s HR / Payroll initiatives.

The Business Applications Analyst Serves as a liaison between end-users, project team members, and other IS resources while providing exemplary customer service and application support and development for all assigned business healthcare IT systems.

  • Full life-cycle responsibilities for HRIS platform, integrations, configuration, data, and other related components. Develop custom objects, fields, dashboards, queries, and reports.
  • Applies Testing, Release, and Configuration Management principles and best practices to ensure the integrity of the HRIS platform, system configuration, business processes, and data.

    Proactively engages stakeholders, functional leads and technical staff to apply a robust test regimen to all customizations, upgrades, patches, and other changes as part of a User Acceptance Test process.

  • Responsible for administrative functions and issue escalation. Support HRIS through technical research, solution development and solution alternatives / recommendations.
  • Participates in the development of functional roadmaps that ensure the alignment of technical deliverables and business initiatives.

    Apply effective interpersonal skills when working with customers and peers to accomplish project goals.

  • Maintain technical documentation based on standard operating procedures in support of the assigned application
  • Train and mentor users, functional leads and other staff members. Identify, distinguish, and act upon issues, problems and opportunities.
  • Apply critical thinking and assessment skills to analyze problems and data as part of the development of corrective actions and recommendations.

    Recommends process, policy, customer service improvements, and innovative solutions that conform to industry best practices and meet / exceed customer expectations.

  • Analyze current business practices, user needs, and workflow processes to develop and implement solutions based on business requirements
  • Document issues with resolutions and share with team members to improve team productivity
  • Understands and uses qualitative and quantitative measurements and data collection design principles. Maintains awareness of current trends in HRIS technologies, training, materials and resources with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and the application of key technologies.
  • Participates in user group meetings and conferences as required.

  • Performs modification of applications as needed to meet business and clinical requirements
  • Interact with business users to understand new business requirements and enhancement requests
  • Maintains a high level of interaction with all HR and Payroll to continually enhance / improve all aspects of payroll processing
  • Serve liaison role between application technology vendors, internal IS groups, and business users
  • Responds to and resolves service desk tickets and end user requests.
  • Take complete ownership for the assigned task and timely inform the progress of the project / task to all stakeholders, escalating when necessary
  • Document issues with resolutions and share with team members to improve team productivity
  • Take initiative and drives to bring to logical conclusion; proactive approach, including continual improvement of knowledge of supported systems
  • Communication and documentation of all relevant items and activities, including actively participating in meetings and making valuable contributions
  • Provides after hour and weekend support as needed; Remains on call as requested. Other duties as assigned.
