The Amazon Gift Card business is a rapidly growing, multi-billion dollar global business contributing significantly to Amazon’s new customer growth and top and bottom lines.
The Gift Card team’s mission is to provide customers with delightful gifts that are thoughtful for the recipient and convenient for the giver and to provide payment instruments based on Amazon Balance to enable customers to access Amazon and manage their spend.
The Consumer Gift Cards team is responsible for creating, enhancing, merchandising and marketing multiple products sold globally through the Amazon website.
Our product line includes electronic gift cards, physical gift cards, branded gift cards (e.g. Starbucks and Whole Foods) and Stored Value products which help customers manage and add funds to their existing Amazon Gift Card balance.
The Head of US / Canada Consumer Gift Card Marketing leads a team that owns marketing for all Consumer product lines and business management for two product lines.
The Marketing team is responsible for driving traffic, new customers, and total issuance for eGift Cards, physical Gift Cards, and Reload products on Amazon’s US and Canada sites.
The team also owns marketing for the third-party Branded Gift Card business. The team is responsible for the gift card shopping and browse experience on desktop and mobile, all traffic channels to Gift Card pages (e.
g. email, on and off-Amazon ad placements, search ads, associates, sponsored links, PR), as well as all go-to-market activities for new Consumer product / feature launches (e.
g. Group Gifting, new delivery methods like SMS).
In addition to leading the Marketing team, this leader owns the P&Ls for two major channels within our Consumer Gift Card business : electronic gift cards and Amazon Reload.
Scope of responsibility includes financial reporting / planning (P&L ownership, OP1 and OP2 planning, MBRs, QBRs) and product development (in collaboration with our Design team).
The electronic Gift Card is the team’s flagship gifting product and Amazon Reload is a fast-growing self-use product. Both offerings provide extensive opportunity for this leader to collaborate with and influence product roadmap, engineering prioritization, finance, BI, and visual and user experience design.
The scope of this role requires this leader to be a full product marketing owner and deliver best-in-class customer on-site experiences and demand generation activities in partnership with global marketing, business and tech stakeholders within Amazon Payments Products and across Amazon (e.
g., Wedding & Baby Registries, Gateway, Global Nav, Prime Now, Canada Retail). This leader has five direct reports and manages a multi-million dollar marketing budget.
The leader is part of a worldwide community of marketing and business leaders in Amazon Payment Products and is responsible for influencing across regions to maintain a unified Gift Cards brand and for maintaining and evolving a global Gift Cards marketing toolkit.
