Job Purpose and Impact

The Cloud/Hosting Organization designs, implements and operates a state-of-the-art Information Systems infrastructure serving over 150,000 employees, in more than 1200 locations across 65 countries. The team works with the latest and emerging technologies to deliver scalable, high performing and resilient infrastructure services around the world. These infrastructure services connect, host, virtualize, store, collaborate, integrate, compute and transact business solutions that utilize cloud first, automation, analytics, “as a Service”, and software defined architectures.
The Cloud/Hosting Leader is the strategic driver in the development and delivery of next generation distributed processing, hosting and storage platforms that transcend all of Cargill’s existing computational services worldwide. You will lead a global team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and deliver contemporary and world class computing solution designs, roadmaps, standards and services that are always-up, always available and integrate end-to-end.
Key Accountabilities

Lead a team of Subject Matter Experts to develop and deliver a comprehensive global distributed processing, hosting and storage platform architecture and strategy using contemporary technologies that utilize both on-premise and Cloud capabilities, Virtualization, SaaS, Automation, Orchestration, Software Defined Data Center and Networking.
Drive the transformation of legacy platforms that use non-standard, standalone or dedicated infrastructure stacks towards solutions which consolidate, integrate and converge the infrastructure into a contemporary hyperconverged platform.
Collaborate and influence application owners to drive cloudadoption, including the current effort to migrate Cargill’s SAP environments to the cloud.
Monitor external technology changes and serve as a source of continuous innovation, facilitating speed-to market and competitive advantage while proactively identifying and pursuing opportunities to exploit new technologies to achieve key business objectives.
Manage strategic relationships with key vendors leveraging ongoing Quarterly Business Reviews to drive continuous value creation.
Build and expand partnership with the information security team to ensure compliance with all security requirements and regulations.
Provide mid- to long-term (three or more years) strategic leadership, development and talent management for multiple teams of directors and managers including identification and infusion of externally skilled talent on new technologies. You will develop mid- to long-term plans to optimize the organization, function or subfunction and the talent required to execute strategies in job area. You will inspire others by articulating the positive impact the organization can make, while creating an environment in which people know where they stand, including when they are performing poorly.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or in a related field; or equivalent experience,

Minimum 10 years of directly related work experience, minimum 7 years of supervisory experience

Five years of Cloud infrastructure experience in 2 or more of the following technologies: AWS/Azure/Google
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in computer science or information technology

Minimum of 15 years of management or leadership experience in an information technology infrastructure role.

Extensive experience of networking, information security, servers, compute, and storage management.

Experience in engineering, design, automation, computing

Awareness and understanding of security best practices: NIST, DLP and ISO27001

Experience in managing global teams along with a sizable third-party ecosystem.
