Payments Director Summary
We are looking for a Payments Director to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will play a critical role in driving the full sales process by transforming industry players to become industry partners, and also driving expansion adoption with our existing partners. You will work in close collaboration with business partners and cross-functional teams within Alchemy Pay.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Work with the Senior Management team to develop and execute business development strategies and projects
- Acquire international pay-in methods (payment channels) such as bank cards and bank transfers
- Acquire local pay-in methods (remittance channels) such as mobile wallets and domestic faster payment services (e.g. Singapore’s PayNow, Hong Kong’s FPS etc.)
- Actively secure competitive rates for all pay-in and pay-out channels, including sourcing payment service providers, and remittance partners, and setting up infrastructure (including acquiring licenses if necessary) to connect directly with acquirers/payment channels.
- Lead and carry out business negotiations forpartnerships
- Work closely with the Business Development, Products, and other cross-functional teams across the business
- Tap into your existing network and also continue to build a broad network of relationships within the Payments industry globally to identify opportunities
- Carry out market research for best practices in the world of payments, giving market insights to the management team
- Proactively monitor KPIs, competitor landscape, and partner and community feedback to iterate overall product, marketing, and business strategies
- Become a product expert and brand ambassador for Alchemy Pay
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 5+ years of proven experience in the Payments industry, with a strong understanding of international, regional, and domestic payment channels
- Good understanding of the regulatory requirements of the payment industry
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to deliver engaging presentations
- Knowledge of Crypto and Blockchain is a plus
- Experience working with an international company with a global exposure is a plus
- Fluency in English is a must, and proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
- Resourceful, creative, and highly self-motivated individuals who can work in a fast-paced environment
