Field Assistant

Description of Vacancy
As one of the leading companies in the organic whole food trade, our company is looking for a passionate and driven Field Assistant with great communication skills.
The candidate should have a good knowledge of Acholi and Lango Sub-regions.

He/she will be required to travel to Lamwo, Gulu, Kalaki, Kaberamaido, Lira areas on a regular basis.

Lovenature Africa is an organic, sustainable business with headquarters in Uganda. We want to go back to the way nature intended it. Along with our farmers, we source and produce the best quality organic dried ingredients directly from the farmers and deliver them right to the doorstep of our client’s warehouses.

We always strive to help African farmers and employees improve their livelihoods by increasing household incomes as well as family and community livelihoods.

Key responsibilities

•  Maintain up-to-date purchasing and product stock data.
•  Collect and process data from field supervisors.
•  Collect information for daily reports on raw material purchases, shipments from the field to the warehouse, and availability of products for purchase from suppliers, among others.
•  Direct communication with managers of the production, quality, purchasing, and logistics divisions.
• Assisting the General Manager's for Lovenature Africa.

Prerequisites:

• Multitasking ability
•  Excellent communication skills.
•  Ability to make decisions.
•  Experience in Excel and Word programs.
•  University degree and graduates of careers related to agronomy, administration, and quality are valued.
•  Experience managing and directing teams (desirable).
•  Experience working with products such as chia and sesame will be valued.
•  Place of residence Gulu (essential requirement)
•  Possibility of traveling and commuting medium to long distances.
•  Possibility of immediate incorporation (essential requirement).
