Electrical Engineering Technician / Technologist (NC)

Key Responsibilities :

• Form part of a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering office.
• Electrical engineering draughting and / or modelling work in Revit, MicroStation and Caddie.
• Electrical engineering calculations (i.e., illumination, volt drop, fault levels, earthing, etc.) in Excel.
• Project administration (i.e. minutes, project schedules, payment certificates, general correspondence, ISO 90001 quality management system, etc.)
• Site works (i.e., assist with surveys, quality control inspections, measurements, supervising, site instructions, etc.)
• Estimated expected time distribution of work tasks will be 60 % draughting, 10 % calculations, 20 % project administration and 10 % site work for the first year.

Key Requirements :

• Contract appointment for at least 12 months, possibly permanent.
• Must relocate to Springbok, Northern Cape.
• Willing to relocate to Springbok, Northern Cape (the company will assist with associated cost)
• Relevant 2-4+ years' post qualification working experience.
• National Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering not negotiable.
• Computer and software skills in Word, Excel and Revit respectively.
• Good communication skills verbally and in writing in English and Afrikaans.
• The candidate must be a team player who contributes to achieve the team goals
• Must be detail orientated
• Must be self-driven and motivated to continually grow in taking responsibility and accountability of work tasks; must always check own work for correctness according to expectation of the supervisor before handing over a work task and must take pride in his / her work.
