Job Details

At Remotebase, we are seeking a talented WordPress Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing websites using the WordPress creation tool. Your primary focus will be on both the front-end and back-end development of websites, including the implementation of themes and plugins. Your creativity and attention to detail will be key in creating attractive and user-friendly websites that meet client specifications.

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain WordPress website, themes, and plugins.
Customize and extend existing WordPress functionality to meet specific project requirements.
Ensuring the website is optimized for performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility
Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
Collaborate with design teams to implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
Able to support efforts related to technical SEO & accessibility (WCAG level AA)
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Conduct thorough testing to identify and fix bugs, ensuring the functionality of WordPress websites.
Perform regular security audits and updates to safeguard websites against vulnerabilities.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and strategists, to deliver integrated solutions.
Help the team to scope required effort for necessary site improvements.
Participate in project planning, brainstorming, and problem-solving sessions.

Required profile for job ad : WordPress Developer

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Figma
In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, APIs, and customization techniques
Experience with popular WordPress plugins and frameworks
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
Collaborative mindset and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
Flexibility and the ability to work independently & asynchronously with a team spanning multiple time zones
